She’s published fiction and nonfiction with publishers such as Scholastic, Milkweed Editions (winner of the Milkweed Prize for Children's Literature), Rourke Educational Media, Heinemann, Pearson, and a variety of magazines including Highlights for Children and Highlights High Five. Jessica graduated from Hollins University with a Master of Arts in Children’s Literature, and she previously taught at St. Edward’s University. She lives near Austin, Texas with her husband, daughter, and toothless rat terrier.

Janet Harvey

Janet Harvey is an award-winning writer of comic books, movies and games. As a comic book creator, she wrote the YALSA finalist Angel City for Oni Press,The Curie Society from MIT Press, and the first adventure of Cassandra Cain in No Man’s Land for DC Comics. As a game writer, she was the staff writer on the DC Universe Online MMORPG. Her feature film debut, A Million Hits, screened at festivals around the world and was distributed by Summer Hill Films.

Her current project is a YA graphic novel being developed in collaboration with Angel City illustrator Megan Levens.

Joe Khachadourian

Joe Khachadourian is a writer, concept creator, and graphic fiction evangelist living in Austin, Texas. Formerly an Executive Editor at MightyVille.com, Joe has contributed to various websites and periodicals over the years, along with a number of comic book anthologies, including IDW Publishing’s Transformers: Mosaic. A recipient of several awards in journalism and play-writing, Joe’s decided to make the dive into the world of creator-owned comics with Identity Stunt and Altered Metal, published by Markosia.

Leticia Urieta (she/her/hers) is a Tejana writer from Austin, TX. She is a teaching artist in the greater Austin community and is also a freelance writer. Her first comic, Thirteen Origins: Cloudbreak #1, co-created with artist and writer Verena Rodriguez, is out in July 2024 from Scout Comics.

Mari Mancusi

Mari Mancusi

Mari Mancusi is an Emmy award winning former TV news producer and author of more than thirty sci-fi/fantasy books for kids, teens and adults. Her dragon apocalypse series, New Dragon City, is on the 24/25 Texas Bluebonnet State Reading List as well as the Florida Sunshine State reading list. It was also named by Reader's Digest as one of the top 100 children's books for all time. In addition, Mari writes tie-in novels for Disney properties including Frozen and the NYT Bestselling series "Twisted Tales." She has a Nightmare Before Christmas Twisted Tale being released this fall. In addition to writing, Mari is an avid cosplayer, horror fan, and MMORPG gamer. She lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and their young daughter.

P.J. Hoover

P. J. (Tricia) Hoover wanted to be a Jedi, but when that didn't work out, she became an electrical engineer instead. After a fifteen year bout designing computer chips for a living, P. J. started creating worlds of her own. She's the award-winning author of The Hidden Code, and Tut: The Story of My Immortal Life, featuring a fourteen-year-old King Tut who's stuck in middle school. Under the Connor Hoover pseudonym, she is also the author of the popular Pick Your Own Quest series, which are interactive adventures perfect for everyone. When not writing, P. J. loves spending time practicing kung fu, fixing things around the house, and solving Rubik's cubes.

Studios), ALFRED: PAIN in the BUTLER (DC Comics), LAST STOP on the RED LINE (Dark Horse Comics) and TMNT Covers (IDW) as well as other work for DC, IDW, Dynamite, 1First Comics & Antarctic Press. Sam’s artistic contributions include a variety of animated and video game projects, most recently the VR shooter SWARM 1 & 2. When he’s not at the drawing board, Sam enjoys building terrain and painting miniatures for various tabletop RPGs and war games. Please Be My Star is a romantic YA retelling of Phantom of the Opera and is coming out from Scholastic/Graphix on September 3rd, 2024. Devin is a comic artist originally from Roswell, New Mexico who had the great fortune to live and study in Japan for a year as part of an exchange program with Hosei University.
During that time, he got to study the manga industry first hand, in addition to getting to play with all sorts of nifty Japanese pens.

Mary Bellamy

Mary Bellamy, a licensed illustrator based in Los Angeles, operates her creative hub from her home studio. With a portfolio brimming with iconic franchises such as My Little Pony, Marvel, DC Comics, Ghostbusters, Adventure Time, and Rick and Morty, she has crafted over 5,000 artist trading cards for esteemed companies like Upperdeck, Topps, and Rittenhouse. Through both writing and illustration, her work has been published in over 250 books.

Pioneering her own narratives, she created two enduring series: Faux Facts – The Truth Can Be Strange! and Ah Heck!!, both showcasing strong female protagonists. For the past decade, she's been a fixture at San Diego Comic-Con, showcasing her graphic novels and merchandise. Ro Higashi is an American manga artist of Filipino ancestry, living in Austin. She is the creator of Half of the Crown, a popular webcomic recently turned graphic novel (Cosmic Lion Productions). TheStarfishface, aka Star, is an artist from central Texas who specializes in comics, illustration, and yelling passionately about her interests. She is most known for her webcomic Castoff, a fantasy-adventure story about a group of magical misfits on the run from their problems (and the fantasy cops). She is also a YouTuber known for making art-related videos, including tutorials, her “Art + Storytime” series, artist alley and convention vlogs, and weekly drawing livestreams. Bryan Douglas is a self-taught illustrator and cartoonist  from Houston who is married to Austinite fine artist / arts educator Selah Douglas. Several years into their marriage they formed Pathway Comics and its flagship title, The Dimensionals, with all-ages stories written and drawn by Bryan, with colors by Selah, as well as artistic and story edits. Their kids contribute modeling poses, audience testing, and even story ideas and character concepts from time to time.

Star Garrison represents Texas within the 501st Legion. The 501st Legion (aka Vader’s Fist) is a worldwide Star Wars fan club celebrating the Star Wars universe using costumes and props, in particular those of the Stormtrooper characters, Imperial forces, and other various “bad guy” characters. The Legion is a volunteer club formed for the express purpose of bringing together costume enthusiasts and giving them a collective identity within which to operate. The Legion’s aims are to celebrate the Star Wars movies through the wearing of costumes, to promote the quality and improvement of costumes and props, and most importantly, to contribute to the local community through charity and volunteer work.

Firespun Alchemy is a cosplay duo based out of South Texas. Rowan has been cosplaying off and on since the dark ages of the 00s, but only dragged Gabriel into the depths around 2015. Rowan does most of the fabricating and finds the most joy in propmaking, especially finding creative ways to use materials. While they're a little less excited about sewing and wigcraft, they're learning to find the fun there too. They're still fairly new to it all, so it's an adventure! The two have won a few awards, but their primary interest is in geeking out with other cosplayers about costumes and building techniques, because we're all in this community together.

Saber Guild is the largest not-for-profit, LFL-recognized, costumed lightsaber performance club. Jakku Temple is the Central Texas branch with members throughout the Austin and San Antonio greater areas. We enhance local charity, community, and pop culture event experiences through the use of costumed lightsaber choreography to conduct our Interactive Jedi Experience, stage performances, and photo opportunities. We also raise awareness and donations for charity organizations such as The Texas Lion's Camp, Make-a-Wish, and many more. The Austin Ghostbusters

The Austin Ghostbusters will be at Library Con! The cosplay group will have their equipment on hand to include their Ecto-1F (Ford Flex) and will be taking pictures with attendees for free. RGC is back this year to celebrate all of the Sonic mania surrounding the upcoming third movie by letting you try the most bizarre retro Sonic the Hedgehog games at the booth! You can win some vintage, geeky books and even adopt a pixelated Chao!

Game Worlds Summer Camp

Game Worlds is an award-winning STEM education program that turns kids’ passion for playing games into a love of building them! For more than 10 years, we have been teaching students both the artistic and technical aspects of game development, helping them build confidence as coders, storytellers, artists, and musicians. Our program was built from the ground up by real game developers, so our students always receive the most relevant and practical knowledge, and we work with the local game development community to connect students directly with professional developers eager to share their knowledge.

Matt Robertson, also known as GrapeApe, is representing the roleplaying game company Goodman Games. Matt is the host of the Twitch shows RAW: Rules As Written and GrapeApe's Reaver Express, which can be seen both on YouTube and Twitch under the Goodman Games banner. Matt is the founder of the 3rd party publishing company Split the Party Games and has published the Dungeon Crawl Classics (DCC) compatible horror module A Conspiracy of Ravens as well as being a contributing writer and cartographer for multiple publications, the Gongfarmer's Almanac and The Gongfarmer Militia to name a few. Matt can also be found on the DCC fan Discord server DungeonCrawlers where he serves as a moderator and runs DCC and MCC games online. It goes without saying that his favorite color is purple!

Jeff Dee

Jeff Dee

Jeff has worked in the gaming industry for over 40 years. His artwork has appeared in numerous games and magazines, including TSR's Deities and Demigods (as well as many AD&D modules and other early TSR products), Villains & Vigilantes, adventures for the Star Wars RPG from West End Games, Magic the Gathering, and others. He co-designed Villains & Vigilantes, TWERPS (The World's Easiest Role-Playing System) from Gamescience, and Cavemaster the Stonepunk RPG from UNIgames. Cavemaster won the 2013 Three Castles Design Award at NTRPGCon. Jeff has also worked in the computer games industry on games such as Ultima VI, Master of Orion, Master of Magic, and Wing Commander. He was the art director on Ultima VII, and the lead game designer on The Sims: Castaway Stories. Jeff currently works as a game design consultant, and operates two paper game publishing companies: Monkey House Games with V&V co-creator Jack Herman, and UNIgames with partner Talzhemir Mrr. UNIgames’ latest products are the Kurt Hills Atlas (a campaign setting for Bethorm: the Plane of Tekumel RPG), and the latest from Monkey House is ‘Mighty Protectors’, the 3rd edition of V&V.
